Future Plan

By 2021 BADC plans to upgrade irrigation area from 54.88 lakh hectares to 60 lakh hectares (about one lakh ha annually). Simultaneously, irrigation works by increasing the availability of ground water, promoting irrigation efficiency from 35% to 50%. There is a plan to bring the yield difference from 3 tons / hectare to 1 ton / hectare. There is a plan to monitor deep tube wells, surveying and monitoring of irrigation, monitoring ground level of ground water and monitoring of salt water in coastal areas by setting up pre-paid meters. Coordinating with these national activities; In the Lakshmipur district, instead of traditional method, dynamic and sustainable irrigation system will be able to accelerate overall
